The demonstrations that started as a peaceful march with the goal of persuading Members of Parliament to reject the proposed finance bill, have since turned violent after a 'YES' vote ruled the National Assembly on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s events escalated when it became clear that MPs were not listening to the masses they represent. The conversation changed from ‘Meet us at a point of rationality’ to ‘we will meet you at your point of pride’.
