• This endorsement comes as fifteen Members of Parliament (MPs) have reportedly backed Ndindi Nyoro to succeed President William Ruto in 2032, provided Ruto secures a second term in office.

In an interview on Radio 47 on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Gatundu South Member of Parliament Gabriel Kagombe voiced his support for Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, stating that the people of the Mt. Kenya region would not oppose his endorsement as president in 2032.

Kagombe emphasized that residents of the Mt. Kenya region could not go against a leader they see as part of their future. He further pledged their support for Nyoro, particularly from the younger generation.

"We, as people from the mountain, cannot oppose Hon. Ndindi Nyoro. We cannot go against a leader whom we envision in our future. We will support him as young people," he said.

This endorsement comes as fifteen Members of Parliament (MPs) have reportedly backed Ndindi Nyoro to succeed President William Ruto in 2032, provided Ruto secures a second term in office.

Among the supporters is Gatundu North MP Elijah Kururia, who believes Nyoro is the most suitable candidate to lead the Mt. Kenya region in 2032.

However, the endorsement of Nyoro has not been well received by leaders allied with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who has been actively working to consolidate support in the region to follow in Ruto's footsteps.
