Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale is in Nakuru County as part of a nationwide campaign to fortify Kenya’s public health system through focused, county-level activations.
The visit on July 23, 2025 underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring equitable access to quality health services across the country, with the rallying call that “no household is left behind.”
The Cabinet Secretary’s itinerary includes a comprehensive tour of the Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital, one of the leading public health institutions in the region.
During the tour, Duale is expected to visit several critical units, including the Regional Cancer Centre, the Chemotherapy Unit, and the Renal Unit, to assess their operations and interact with healthcare providers and patients.
These departments play a vital role in the fight against non-communicable diseases such as cancer and kidney disease, which continue to affect thousands of Kenyans annually.
