DAP-Kenya Party leader Eugene Wamalwa has condemned the rising culture of violence and hooliganism at funerals in Western Kenya. This follows an incident on March 2, 2025 where Trans-Nzoia Governor George Natembeya was forced to flee after facing a hostile crowd in Malava, Kakamega County.
Natembeya was part of a group of politicians who had come to pay their respects to the family of the late Malava MP Moses Malulu Injendi ahead of his burial on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
“The incidents, including what occurred to my DAP-Kenya Deputy Party Leader Governor George Natembeya at Malulu's funeral in Malava, Kakamega County, must be condemned by all. Those who sponsor these goons should be held accountable,” Wamalwa said through a statement.
