Raila Odinga maintains that his partnership with President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) does not compromise his commitment to the Kenyan people.
“We have not joined this alliance so as to betray Kenyans, Kenya is more important than an individual and all Kenyans should unite and work together,” he said.
As the ODM party start the party elections on April 7, 2025 across the country. Raila has urged the party members to conduct peaceful party elections to strengthen the party. This comes after a section of ODM members from the coastal region urged him to postpone the party grassroots elections over fear of irregularities and favoritism.
“I urge you that when party elections begin let it be a friendly match, don’t fight one another, we are siblings and we should remain united,” said Raila.
