• Loving yourself is giving yourself affirmations; saying you are happy, you look amazing, you are wealthy, you are strong. It is when you take in all feelings and deal with them in a way that makes you feel at peace.

I have this belief that if I don't love myself, I wont be able to take care of myself. And I know I am not the only one who sees it this way. This means, accepting you for you, putting yourself first, and being kind to yourself. This is what is called self love.

It is when you give yourself time to understand you. It is when you embrace your flaws and learn how to live happily with them, when you create time for yourself, being in a calm environment and get to reflect on what happened to you in the past week. Noting down what makes you happy and what dulls your day.

Loving yourself is giving yourself affirmations; saying you are happy, you look amazing, you are wealthy, you are strong. It is when you take in all feelings and deal with them in a way that makes you feel at peace.

Accepting that you can make mistakes and correcting yourself. It is setting your standards and not lowering them for whatever reason. It is putting your health first and asking for help when need be.

You know, being with people who build you and put a smile on your face, pursuing your interest and giving yourself challenges. Then finally, noticing your achievements and maybe rewarding yourself for that reason.

When you love yourself, you get to build good and healthy relationships, you get to achieve more in life, and you are not likely to conform to others' demands. Trust me you become a fantastic version of yourself!

So, how about you give this try. Note any achievement you make and reward yourself for it. When you feel sad, think it through and address it, don't just let it slide. Give yourself some 'me time' ,go for lunch with someone who makes you happy. Get some rest, and allow yourself to be happy.

You know how you’ve always wanted to start your self care journey, this is the most important step.
