According to her, the peace and cooperation demonstrated by the assembly as an independent institution reflect the sobriety of elected leaders whose primary duty is service delivery to the electorate.
“I think as a county, we are one of the very few ones where we have not seen any issues. So I continue to be thankful for the leadership of the county assembly, the assembly membership, and the elected members of the county assembly,” said Governor Kihika.
As the third governor of Nakuru and the first woman to hold the position, Kihika reaffirmed her commitment to delivering on her promises despite political mudslinging from detractors.
“From my first day in office, I have sought not only to manage systems but to transform lives, uplift livelihoods, and always to lead by example,” she stressed.
Sharing her development scorecard, the governor acknowledged the clergy’s role in supporting her vision of making Nakuru “a county of unlimited opportunities.”
“Our county is stronger because of your spiritual leadership,” she said, noting that faith leaders have been instrumental in fostering unity and guiding the county’s progress.
The prayer breakfast, blending spiritual reflection with civic dialogue, offered a platform for Governor Kihika to highlight achievements, reassure residents of her steadfast leadership, and celebrate the collaborative spirit between the executive, assembly, and clergy.
