The campaign will specifically target children under five years old in Nairobi and selected sub-counties in Machakos, Kiambu, and Kajiado. The Kenya Red Cross Society announced the initiative on X, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

“This was announced during a breakfast meeting attended by PS Mary Muthoni and Kenya Red Cross Secretary General Dr. Ahmed Idris, among other key officials,” said the Kenya Red Cross Society on X.

Additionally, children under ten in the counties of Busia, Bungoma, Trans-Nzoia, West Pokot, and Turkana will receive vaccinations between October and November 2024.
