Kenyans are now questioning the justice system as the Ex- Mungiki leader Maina Njenga, who was captured on Wednesday last week, has not yet been arraigned in court and is missing. His family are seeking to know his whereabouts.
The ex-mungiki leader is said to have been captured on the wee hours of Wednesday July 19, 2023 morning ahead of protests against the high cost of living in the country.
Kenyans are now concerned as a majority of politicians allied to the opposition the likes of Hon Babu Owino, Godfrey Osotsi among others were later captured by police during the protests.
In a report by Citizen TV on Sunday July 23, 2023, the family of Maina Njenga led by his father pled with the government to release their kin.
Kenyans are claiming that it's evident there's nothing new politically happening, saying the the vicious cycle of political intolerance and intimidation is back.
