With the pressure of the 2024 Finance Bill and it's fretted tax imposition disquieting some and awakening others, women in Murang'a have opted to recall the words of one, Uhuru Kenyatta.
Some may call him a prophet, perhaps Rabii, but in the wholeness of it all, they agree he had seen something when he dropped his political ex.
In what has become a sensation on Kikuyu Tiktok, garnering nearly half a million views, the women can be heard lamenting of how they were duped at the ballot using religion.
"My father called us right before the elections, and told us if you elect this one, you won't last three months as a community before cries can be heard," One woman is heard saying.
They continue to comment on how the relocation rate from Nairobi has increased, pointing out the upsurge in number of cars carrying house items into the rurals.

"It is bad, it is dire," a man chimes in.
Tendering cronies was not left out of the discussion, they claimed that garbage collection in Nairobi had been taken over by a few individuals close to the 'big fish', ones who were already pocketing millions.
"You tell me, how can someone buy a Ksh8.7 million watch, a ksh 400,000 belt and a Ksh 15,000 shoe when there is a person who can't put a meal of ugali on the table. By the end of the video, the group is heard commiting to a three-day per week roundtable where they will be tabling their issues and posting them on the platform.
