Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has embarked on a diplomatic mission to Brussels, Belgium, where he will represent President William Ruto at the Gateway Forum on Digital Innovation, Green Energy, Transport, Healthcare, and Education.

 This high-level event organized by the European Union Commission provides an opportunity for Kenya to seek new partnerships, strengthen existing relationships, and explore avenues for development and growth.

"I arrived in Brussels, Belgium, to represent President William Ruto at the Gateway Summit on Digital Innovation, Green Energy, Transport, Healthcare and Education- organised by the European Union Commission, among other engagements," he said.

Accompanied by his spouse, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, Deputy President Gachagua aims to engage with the Kenyan diaspora, hold talks with European Union officials, and advance Kenya's interests in various sectors.

Deputy President Gachagua highlighted the importance of opening up new opportunities and strengthening development initiatives.

On the sidelines of the Gateway Forum, Deputy President Gachagua is scheduled to hold talks with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

These discussions aim to enhance bilateral ties between Kenya and the European Union, exploring avenues for economic cooperation, trade partnerships, and mutual support in various sectors.
