The Government oversight (populace), Gen Zs, in particular, are proving effective in keeping the Kenya Kwanza regime in check. President Ruto has once again heeded their demands with a purge in his Cabinet. But is this enough?

Communicating on Friday, July 12, 2024, in a special diplomatic appraisal address to the country’s International Partners, Prime Cabinet Secretary, Musalia Mudavadi backed the President’s move, terming it proof that indeed he appreciates and respects the demands of Kenyans.

“The president is committed to extending the length and breadth of public participation within the spirit of having a cooperative and diverse governance structure to achieve equity and inclusivity across social status, ages, genders, and communities,” he said.

Mudavadi further glorified the efforts of Ruto’s government in expanding political and public uprightness, amplifying the platform for listening to the voice of the citizens.

“Under this Administration, the open political and civic space shall only be expanded and made better, and not otherwise. Our dedication to advancing democratic principles, institutionalism, and the rule of law is central to all that we do,” he added.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary embellished President Ruto’s capability in formulating the new cabinet, alluding to the fact that the nominees would be of exceptional competence and integrity.

He continued to soothe the hearts of the cosmopolitans, reiterating the President’s declaration that all Government operations with the inclusion of diplomatic processes, will continue uninterrupted under the guidance of Principal Secretaries.

Mudavadi concluded by thanking International Partners for their sustained cooperation and requested for continued support as the President re-organizes the National Government.
