History and Milestones
The School was one of the first to launch when Kabarak University received its Letter of Interim Authority in 2000. It got its official name in 2002, and by 2008, the University was granted its full Charter by the late President Mwai Kibaki. In 2017, the School earned ISO 9001:2015 certification, showing its strong commitment to quality in all areas.
Students can pursue programs in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Procurement, Economics, Business Administration, and Entrepreneurship. Kabarak is committed to building meaningful connections. For example, in 2026, it partnered with NCBA Bank Kenya PLC to launch the Business Development Programme (BDP). This four-month intensive training helps small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with finance, strategy, innovation, and sustainability. Each group works with at least 20 SMEs.

There is also a popular 2+2 dual degree program with China, where students start in Kenya and finish in China. This program is especially strong in Agricultural Business Management and Economics & Finance. Partnerships with the Foreign Service Academy give students valuable experience in diplomacy and international relations.
Leadership and Entrepreneurship in Action
The Kabarak University Business Students Association (KUBSA) is very active. They have won the National Economics Summit several times, and in 2025, they updated their constitution to strengthen the association, which you can access.
Through forums, mentorship sessions, and leadership events, members have real opportunities to grow.
Students have also shone at the Kenya Entrepreneurship Summit, coming up with practical ideas that help drive community development.
