As industries evolve, educational institutions must adapt their curricula to equip students with the relevant skills needed to navigate the job market. In today’s world, innovativeness is crucial in careers such as healthcare, media, education, engineering, and technology.
Kabarak University stands at the forefront of fostering innovation among its students. The institution spearheads research initiatives, laying the groundwork for significant advancements. Moreover, Kabarak constantly embraces partnerships and collaborations to provide training for both students and staff, preparing them for the dynamic demands of the modern workforce.
These collaborations foster a symbiotic relationship that benefits the university, its students, and partner organizations in education, research, and economic development. A notable example is the recent two-day Oncology Pharmacy Preceptorship Training, aimed at empowering oncology pharmacy students.
Led by the Dean of the School of Pharmacy Dr. Titus Suge in partnership with Prof. Fredrick Chite, Executive Director of the International Cancer Institute-Eldoret, the training attracted oncology pharmacists from across the country.
Oncology Pharmacy focuses on providing specialized care to cancer patients, with initiatives designed to train pharmacists and enhance cancer care through comprehensive education and training programs. Kabarak University offers a two-year Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) program, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this evolving field.

This workshop deepened understanding of NACOSTI's mandate, research ethics principles, the protocol review process, and the critical role of integrity in scholarly research.
NACOSTI is responsible for promoting ethical standards in science and research, committed to strengthening the capacity of Institutional Scientific and Ethics Review Committees (ISERCs) and individual researchers through targeted training programs.
The partnership between Kabarak University and NACOSTI fosters responsible research practices, reinforcing the university's mission in teaching, research, and community engagement.
Moreover, the collaboration with KCB Bank Kenya Ltd has provided significant opportunities for final-year students in the School of Business and Economics.
