Kabarak University is dedicated to timely graduation. Each year, students complete their required coursework efficiently across seven schools.

These schools include the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Law, School of Pharmacy, School of Music and Media, School of Business and Economics, School of Science, Engineering and Technology and the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Most degree programs are designed to be completed in 4 years (8 semesters), while specialized programs like the Bachelor of Pharmacy may extend to 5 years.

2. Industry-Relevant Education

At Kabarak University, education extends beyond traditional academics. Students engage in community work and mentoring programs, gaining practical insights that enrich their learning experience.

On February 6, 2025, the university launched the ICT Digital Skills and Programming Academy, aimed at equipping students with in-demand ICT skills. Collaborations with industry leaders, including Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Pixel Engineering Africa, Parpus Limited, the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) and KCB Bank, enhance students’ professional journeys.

3. Curriculum Aligned with Industry Trends

Kabarak University continually reviews its curriculum to ensure alignment with the latest educational and industry standards. Recent updates include training in the School of Medicine and a focus on transitioning to a Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

With the first CBC cohort set to join universities in 2029, Kabarak University is proactively preparing its programs to meet their needs, including the upcoming Bachelor of Film and Theatre Production program launching in May 2025.
