Kabarak University is once again alive with rhythm, color, and pride. From March 9th to 14th, 2026, the campus will host its annual Cultural Week, a vibrant celebration of heritage, creativity, and unity.
Organized by the Kabarak University Students Organisation (KUSO), this year’s theme, "Proud of Our Roots, Unity in Diversity ”calls the entire university family to reconnect with their origins and embrace the richness of difference.

The festivities begin with an official opening ceremony that sets the tone for the week. Traditional attire, flags, and performances from various communities converge to reflect Kabarak’s diverse cultural backgrounds. It’s a moment of pride, reflection, and institutional unity.

Throughout the week, the campus pulses with traditional music, dance, storytelling, and exhibitions. Students display talents rooted in their communities—drumming, spoken word, culinary arts, and fashion. The week culminates in the highly anticipated Gala Night, where elegance meets tradition. The crowning of Mr. and Miss Kabarak 2026 marks the finale, celebrating students who embody cultural pride, leadership, and inclusivity.

The theme encouraged reflection and aspiration. MC Gogo lit up the Gala Night, and Brenda Kingi and Jayden Omenge were crowned. The week positioned Kabarak as a hub for cultural preservation and forward-thinking creativity.
