Former President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, the fourth President of the Republic of Kenya (2013–2022), will be the chief guest at Kabarak University’s 21st Graduation Ceremony scheduled for Friday, December 19, 2025.
The event, which will see 2,390 students graduate, will take place at the university’s main grounds starting at 8:00 a.m. and will be broadcast live on KTN and NTV.
Kenyatta, who served as Head of State for a decade, is remembered for his Big Four Agenda, which focused on affordable housing, universal healthcare, food security, and manufacturing.
He also championed 100% transition from primary to secondary education, expanded infrastructure projects such as the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), and strengthened Kenya’s role in regional diplomacy. His presence at the graduation is expected to inspire graduates as they embark on their professional journeys.
Founded in 2002 by the late President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, Kabarak University has grown into one of Kenya’s leading private institutions, with over 12,500 students enrolled across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Previously, the institution hosted former Vice President (VP) Kalonzo Musyoka as graduation chief guest, among other prominent leaders in the country.
The university compound is already in a celebratory mood, with graduates from across Kenya and beyond preparing to mark this milestone. Families, faculty, and dignitaries are expected to attend, making the event one of the most significant academic gatherings in the country this year.
