• The shocking incident has left the community stunned and sparked a nationwide conversation about the consequences of infidelity and the importance of addressing relationship issues more constructively.

The lifeless body of a man accused of murdering his lover was discovered in Thika, Kiambu County, on Monday, March 11, 2024, after being reported missing for several days.

The shocking incident has left the community stunned and sparked a nationwide conversation about the consequences of infidelity and the importance of addressing relationship issues more constructively.

The man, who worked as a security guard, was allegedly involved in a tumultuous relationship with his lover, with whom he shared a daughter. Their relationship, which began when they were still in school in 2016, became worse after his partner graduated and secured a good job.

According to the man's account shared online, he noticed a significant change in her behaviour, leading him to suspect infidelity. He claimed to have discovered text messages exchanged between his wife and two other men, further fueling his suspicions.

"Rest well my queen. I loved you but you loved someone else. Choices have consequences," he wrote after his wife's death on March 7.

In a desperate plea for attention and assistance, the man took to social media to share his grievances. He tagged significant media houses and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in his posts, hoping to draw attention to his partner's alleged infidelity and the deteriorating state of their relationship.

Regrettably, his cries for help went unanswered, leaving him feeling ignored and isolated.

The man's online confession took a tragic turn when his lifeless body was discovered. His drastic actions have drawn criticism from the public, who argue that seeking help from the authorities or ending the relationship amicably would have been more appropriate.
