The Media Council of Kenya has convened the Annual Pan-African Media Summit at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi. Running from May 13–14 the meeting is under the theme “Promoting Conversations on Information Integrity, Digital Platforms and Media in Africa.”
The Summit is organized in partnership with the Kenya Union of Journalists, the Kenya Editors’ Guild, and the Association of Media Women in Kenya. Bringing together policymakers, regulators, journalists, civil society, and technology leaders, the summit seeks to address urgent challenges facing African media. Key issues include the spread of disinformation, the accountability of digital platforms, and frameworks to safeguard information integrity across the continent.
