Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Julius Ogamba announced an upswing in fortunes, revealing that more students clinched the direct entry mark of C+ and above this year, an improvement that outpaces last year’s tally.
“The number of candidates with direct entry qualification of mean grade C+ and above was 270,715 (27.18% of the total number of students) in the 2025 KCSE examination. This is an improvement compared to 246,391 (25.53%) in 2024,” he stated.
