Opposition leader Raila Odinga has denied endorsing wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka for the 2027 presidency and clarified he was praising the former vice president for his allegiance to him.

However, in a statement, the Azimio boss clarified that it was too early for the coalition to pick a presidential flagbearer for presidential contest.
“Mr. Odinga, therefore, clarifies things that his praise for H.E.Kalonzo Musyoka for standing with in three successive elections, the wiper leader’s strong christian values and the support Mr. Musyoka has built across the country were not an endorsement of Mr. Musyoka as the Azimio presidential candidate 2027” the statement indicated.
Further, Raila said his coalition is that of principals who all stand an equal chance to emerge as the presidential candidate 2027, depending on each leader’s relationship with the party membership.
“ Mr. Odinga, however in his statements believes that Mr. Musyoka has what it takes to heat Hon.William Ruto in a free and fair presidential contest, contrary to Mr. Ruto’s recent claim that he would easily beat the Wiper leader.
Raila also clarified that acknowledging Kalonzo on Sunday did not mean quitting active politics.
