In an acknowledgment of collaboration and innovation, William Kabogo, the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Information, Communications and The Digital Economy, has praised the Swahilipot Hub for its unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent through its Digital Hub.
“We want to replicate what this Hub is doing across the country with the other 1,450 digital hubs,” he stated, highlighting the importance of expanding access to digital education nationwide.
Kabogo served as the Chief Guest at the graduation ceremony for the second cohort of the Swahilipot Hub Digital Literacy Programme on February 28, 2025, where 103 graduates celebrated the culmination of an intense six-week learning experience. The Swahilipot Hub, located within the Swahili Cultural Centre in Old Town, Mombasa County, stands as a vibrant creative center for technology, arts, and heritage.

“The Digital Literacy Programme was designed with a simple but powerful goal: to integrate technology into education and empower learners with 21st-century skills,” Kabogo explained. This initiative embodies the proactive spirit, innovation, and determination that are essential for Kenya's growth in the digital age.
Through the Konza Technopolis Development Authority, the Ministry has provided significant support to the Swahilipot Digital Hub, including 50 devices that have already facilitated training for 400 youth. Additionally, the hub benefits from robust internet connectivity, ensuring that learners have access to vital resources and tools.
