“Peerless, a legend and a once-in-a-generation talent. Congratulations, Faith Kipyegon, for winning our first gold after defending the 1500m title for a 3rd time in a row in Budapest World Championship,” President Ruto said.

 Kipyegon's outstanding performance secured her a well-deserved gold medal and marked a significant milestone for Kenya, as it became the country's first gold medal at the championships.

In a fiercely competitive field consisting of 11 other talented women, Faith Kipyegon showcased her exceptional speed, skill, and determination to emerge victorious in the World Championship 1500m final.
