Morroco who happens to be the next hostel of the tournament, showed no mercy upon Lesotho by trashing them 7-0. The 2022 World cup semi finalists are so desperate and determined to triumph in the tournament and make sure the trophy doesn't leave the country.

In that thrilling and tantalizing head on coalition, Brahim Diaz, a former Manchester City player and currently showcasing his prowess in matters of football in Madrid,  Spain, made a rather impactful performance in the match and this is due to the fact that he was able to strike three goals past Lesotho's woodwork, securing him a HATRICK.

On the other hand, the 2023 AFCON runners up Nigeria, was also stunned by one of the underdog countries in Eastern Africa, Rwanda. Despite opening the scoring line, Rwanda made a twist of turns in the middle of second half, punishing Nigeria for having their setback and after placing all their strength and efforts to acquire an equalizer, Rwanda were on the watch and none of the sort happened leading to a crucial defeat for Nigeria.

The 2025 AFCON is going to be one of its own kind due to the fact that the three times Champions of the tournament Cote D'Ivoire, who secured their third title early this year after beating the super Eagles, and have now made it again to the tournament.

Having countries like Senegal and Egypt , well renowned for their stars Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah respectively, in the tournament, brings nothing else but only urge and anticipation to watch the games. In order to compete against such personalities, its high time Nigeria should change their game plan and look forward to qualifying for the tournament.
