Renowned content creator Andrew Kibe, popularly known as Kibe, recently used his show to advise young individuals considering higher education to focus on acquiring skills that will be in demand.

“Become the best designer, the best editor and a programmer. Those are some skills that everybody should learn right now. This is because they are very marketable at the moment,” he said.

He emphasized the importance of avoiding courses that may not have marketability in the current era, citing overcrowding as a contributing factor to their diminishing value.

“Instead of learning useless things on campus. We have many doctors and job opportunities for them right now. These days, communication course is not marketable. Radio stations are hiring comedians because they have to get people’s attention.

Kibe also encouraged students to explore Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, particularly in light of rising university fees, saying these institutions offer specialized technical training in various fields, equipping individuals with practical skills that are highly sought-after in industries.

In his show, Kibe underscored the significance of developing skills that are likely to be profitable. He cautioned young people against pursuing courses that may not align with the demands of the job market, highlighting how certain fields have become oversaturated with individuals seeking to acquire similar qualifications.
