Counselling Psychology is undoubtedly one of the greatest helping professions, yet many people do not understand its worth in the 21st century.

This comprehensive program cultivates the development of in-depth knowledge and honed skills necessary to excel in the field of counseling psychology.

The course is ideal for individuals driven by a deep understanding of human behavior, a passion for supporting individuals facing emotional and mental health challenges, and a desire to contribute positively to the wellbeing of others.

The Bachelor of Counselling Psychology equips you with the knowledge and skills to become a qualified counselor by integrating a strong foundation in psychological theory with practical application.

That way, the programme aims at preparing learners to work in diverse settings like schools, hospitals, health centers and clinics, community agencies, research and corporate institutions, and private practice.

Apart from skills and qualifications, a Counseling psychology degree can also contribute to your personal growth. Through in-depth study and practical experiences, you can expect to gain a variety of soft skills that are both personally and professionally impactful, including empathy, creativity, and verbal communication.

Counseling is a quickly growing field, as long-held stigmas fade away and more people are acknowledging and seeking treatment for their mental health struggles.

Guided by the Kabarak University’s Biblical-centered principles, the program ensures that you gain the empathy, critical thinking, and ethical grounding to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Kabarak University offers flexible entry options for the program, like in other programmes. Applicants can gain direct entry with a C+ grade in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), 5 credits in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), a minimum of 24 out of 45 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB), or two principal passes in the 'A' Levels qualification.

Alternatively, applicants can gain entry with a mean grade of C (plain) and a credit-level diploma in any field from a recognized institution, provided they have at least two years of relevant work experience.

Applicants with a C- mean grade in KCSE who have progressed from a certificate to a diploma from a recognized and accredited institution are also eligible for this program.
