Founded in 2023, AG German Institute has quickly become Kenya’s largest private German language school, enrolling over 800 students in just six months. It is also the first language school in East Africa to receive the ÖSD license, enabling it to offer internationally recognized German exams.

In 2024, Germany and Kenya signed an agreement allowing more skilled workers from Kenya to live and work in Germany. According to Kenya’s State Department for Diaspora Affairs, this labor agreement has already facilitated over 380 confirmed job placements for Kenyans in Germany.
The labor migration agreement aims to establish a system for skilled workers to move between the two countries while protecting the rights of Kenyan workers. It seeks to ensure safe, orderly, and productive migration, addressing Germany’s labor shortages while significantly increasing access to decent foreign jobs for Kenyan workers.
Additionally, it contributes to the socio-economic development of Kenyan workers through remittances and skill transfers.
