Heavy overnight rains on Saturday, October 31, 2026, have caused flooding in some parts of Nairobi, making it difficult for people and vehicles to move around the city.
The Kenya Meteorological Department warned the public earlier that there would be heavy rains and thunderstorms in Nairobi and several other counties.
Reports indicate that the floods have affected regions such as Githurai, Parklands and parts of Thika Road.
In Parklands and at the Githurai Roundabout on Thika Road, vehicles were forced to move slowly and carefully while pedestrians had to look for safer paths to walk on.
A similar situation took place in Uhuru Highway, where a bus got stuck in a ditch beside the road.
