• McOure has urged young Kenyans to resist being reduced to bargaining chips. “We were not born to be political currency. We were born to shape institutions, expand opportunity, and bend the state toward the welfare of our people. We changed this country once. We will do it again, this time with clarity, structure, and unwavering purpose.”

ODM youth leader Kasmuel McOure has pledged full faith and support to the Broad Based Government, casting the youth as the architects of Kenya’s political realignment. In a post on his official X account, McOure has affirmed that although he holds no office within the arrangement, he and fellow young democrats shaped the atmosphere that made this national shift possible.

“Many attempted before us; none reached as far. Yes, I forfeited opportunities through youthful misjudgment, while chasing online applause from an audience that demands everything and remembers nothing,” he wrote.

McOure has insisted that he does not regret the journey: “Our generation became the fulcrum upon which the arc of Kenya’s governance shifted, even as others, now suddenly eloquent, observed from the comfort of the sidelines.”

As a member of the ODM Youth League, McOure has positioned himself within a school of thought that sees Kenya on a corrective trajectory. He argues that stronger institutions, principled engagement, and vigilant citizenry remain the only sustainable route to real political power for young people.

He has warned against attempts to rewrite history. “They did not march with us. They did not build the movements that birthed this moment. If they understood what it cost, they would guard this arrangement with far greater sobriety.”

McOure has pledged to work with leaders across the spectrum, especially within President Ruto’s administration, stressing that public responsibility rests with those in office. He has declared that the Broad Based Government was midwifed by the youth, and it is the youth who will audit, challenge, and hold it accountable to its ten‑point agenda.

“The Broad Based Youth Front will carry this mandate to its logical conclusion. If the government delivers, we shall face the nation and argue for continuity. If it fails, we will speak the truth without fear. Our compass is justice; our duty is to the Republic of Kenya,” he said.

McOure has urged young Kenyans to resist being reduced to bargaining chips. “We were not born to be political currency. We were born to shape institutions, expand opportunity, and bend the state toward the welfare of our people. We changed this country once. We will do it again, this time with clarity, structure, and unwavering purpose.”

He concluded by announcing plans to reach out to youth leagues across the Broad Based formation, beginning with ODM’s chief partner UDA, to secure sustained dialogue with party leaders and present a youth blueprint for Kenya’s success.
