Dr Ofweneke has advised women against the habit of bossing their partners around; stating that it is a number one factor that push men away.

Speaking during the Chemba show on Radio 47 on June 21, 2023, Ofweneke sees bossy women as a turn off for men.

“Stop being a boss. Not everything must go your way. Men do not want bossy women. I am not looking for a boss, I want a partner. I am not going to come home to a boss, forget it,” Ofweneke said.

He has also advised women to use calming tones when speaking to their husbands, since politeness is key in making a man responsive.

“Every woman has a special power given by God over a man…si lazima unitusi, unishoutie. You can use the lowest volume to tell me something na nitaskiza. Mwanaume alizaliwa kupigana... whenever you come to me attacking me, I stop looking at you as a woman, I will look at you as a man, for atleast 3 seconds.”

Ofweneke goes further to tell women that at times men in a relationship do not have the courage to leave, but would rather wait for the woman to leave on her own.

“There are women listening to me now, let me tell you the genuine truth. Huyo mwanaume amekua akijiuliza utatoka lini. There are always waiting for the day that you will choose to leave on your own. Shock on you, a man was born as a survivor. Hawana confidence ya kutoka wenyewe sa wanangoja wewe ujitoe,” he said.

He also urges women to be a listening hear and accord men the respect they deserve, considering that men are leaders and are the head of the family.

“Your man is not a child. He already has a boss at work. At times trust in our decisions. Kama ulinioa, mbona hautaki kuamini decision zangu ambazo I am making on behalf of the family. Learn to trust men,” Ofweneke added.

According to Ofweneke, men go through a lot, and would need a woman who would give them piece of mind, a place where he finds solace. “He is already being bossed by life. Anakuja kwako, akijua wewe ni pillow case na wewe unakuja na mshale unataka kumshoot pia. Where do you want that man to go. Mnashanga mbona mwanaume alitoka asubuhi na akaenda kujinyonga.”
