This is some call forwarding done...whenever transactions happen it goes to a specific person........check your phone.

 @DividendIncome_

Someone's playing with fire - or this TikToker's M-Pesa account.

Hope you get to the bottom of this, pal.

@Josemureu

Safaricom turning to be a den of hackers and thieves. @Safaricom_Care from network failure to now sim swaps it’s getting worse and worse! We need a rule that Safaricom to be held accountable for any money lost without customer consent!

@HallNM21

Safaricom needs to be called out. @Safaricom_Care finds a way to protect Kenyans from fraudulent people.

The Scamming incident however is not happening for the first time. On June 12, 2023, a theft suspect was apprehended by police in Nairobi County after reportedly stealing Sh. 18, 995 from Mpesa in Njiru Sub County. Dennis Mwangi, the suspect, got the money from a Mpesa agent under false pretense.

He later stated that he had transferred the funds to a separate agent, dialed a bogus Safaricom Customer Care number, and handed the phone over to Safaricom Agent John Mbithi Mutuku.

Mbithi discovered the money had been transferred to another account after dialing the numbers as instructed.
