The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced that a segment of Mombasa Road (A8 Highway) will undergo traffic disruptions as essential road pavement rehabilitation works are carried out.

According to a notice issued on October 31, 2024, the disruptions took place from Saturday, November 2, 2024, and will continue till Saturday, November 9, 2024. This section is located between General Motors and the Junction leading to the Nairobi National Park East Gate.

KeNHA emphasized that these improvements are crucial for ensuring the long-term serviceability and safety of this busy highway. The agency is committed to enhancing the road infrastructure to better serve motorists and reduce congestion in the future.

“KeNHA advises motorists to adhere to the proposed traffic management plan and to cooperate with police and traffic marshals present on site,” the statement read, urging drivers to remain vigilant and patient during this period.
