Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has reassured the public that the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations will continue as planned on Friday, November 1, 2024, despite the announcement of a national holiday.
In a statement, Ogamba said, "The Ministry of Education wishes to inform the public that the declaration of the holiday will not interrupt the ongoing KCSE examination papers scheduled for Friday." This clarification comes as a relief to KCSE candidates who have been anxious about the potential disruption to their exams.

Ogamba has emphasized the importance of the examinations, stating that members of the Multi-Agency Examination Administration team are required to report to work as per the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education.
“All members of the Multi Agency Examinations Administration Team are instructed to report to work as scheduled to ensure that all examination activities of the day are well executed in line with Ministry of Education guidelines. This directive shall also apply to all other basic education institutions that are in session,” he added.
