  • The glamorous Black, Gold, and White-themed event marked the culmination of five years of rigorous study for around 100 Bachelor of Pharmacy students — a milestone that reflects Kabarak University’s commitment to academic excellence, professional readiness, and community impact.

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, Kabarak University School of Pharmacy, through Kabarak University Pharmacy Students Association (KUPSA), hosted an unforgettable Finalists Dinner at the Black Pepper Ivory Restaurant in Nakuru.

The glamorous Black, Gold, and White-themed event marked the culmination of five years of rigorous study for around 100 Bachelor of Pharmacy students — a milestone that reflects Kabarak University’s commitment to academic excellence, professional readiness, and community impact.

KUPSA, a professional and student-led association affiliated with the Pharmacy Students’ Association of Kenya (KEPhSA), embodies the values of leadership, collaboration, and service that define Kabarak University.

The association not only fosters unity among students but also champions pharmaceutical education, innovation, and professional growth.

The evening brought together respected industry leaders and alumni, including representatives from the Kenya Medical Association (KMA), and faculty members Dr. James Meroka (KUPSA Patron) and Dr. Kioko.

In his heartfelt speech, Dr. Meroka praised the finalists: “You have been hardworking, resilient, and a joy to teach. Stay connected with your classmates — they are your primary network in the profession.”

Dr. Kioko, an accomplished alumnus of the School of Pharmacy, urged: “Use your internship money wisely. The discipline you show now will shape your future.”

The KMA representative encouraged the soon-to-be pharmacists to “include the KMA Sacco in your financial plans as you build your careers.”

KUPSA President Baraka Dande praised the Class of 2025 for their hard work and dedication throughout their studies. He congratulated them on reaching this important milestone. Baraka encouraged the finalists to continue striving for excellence in their future careers.

Fifth Year Executive Representative Victor Koome urged his classmates to stay united as they enter the professional world. He reminded them that “Unity is strength” and emphasized the importance of supporting one another. Victor encouraged his peers to carry this spirit into the job market for greater success.

From the laughter-filled cake-cutting to the packed dance floor, the event showcased the camaraderie and excellence nurtured at Kabarak University.
