In the fuel review, EPRA noted that the prices of Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene remain unchanged. Super Petrol will continue to retail at Ksh180.66, and diesel will retail at Ksh168.06. Meanwhile, Kerosene will also retained at Ksh 151.39.
On Thursday, November 14, 2024, in fulfilling its constitutional mandate the Energy and Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced the prices of Super Petrol Diesel and Kerosene effective November 15, 2024, to December 14, 2024.
The Energy and Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is a government department tasked with reviewing fuel prices in Kenya on a monthly basis. This is in line with section 101 (Y) of the Petroleum Act of 2019 and the legal notice No.192 of 2022.
In the fuel review, EPRA noted that the prices of Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene remain unchanged. Super Petrol will continue to retail at Ksh180.66, and diesel will retail at Ksh168.06. Meanwhile, Kerosene will also retained at Ksh 151.39.
They further revealed that the prices inclusive of 16% Value Added Tax as stipulated in Finance Bill 2023, which was recently upheld by the Supreme Court, also inclusive is Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020.
Additionally, EPRA revealed that the landed cost on imported Super petrol had appreciated by 0.54 cents, translating from US$637.70 per cubic metre in September 2024 to US$641.14 per cubic metre

Similarly, in October 2024, Diesel decreased by 4.34% from US$636.22 per cubic metre to US$608.61 per cubic metre, while Kerosene increased by 3.97% from US$623.39 per cubic metre to US$648.15 per cubic metre over the same period.
"Currently, Kenya imports all its petroleum product requirements in refined form and the products are traded in international markets based on a pricing benchmark," EPRA noted.
