• He has urged leaders to find a way of closing ranks together, since it is the only way to succeed as a country.

The Cabinet Secretary Transport and Roads Kipchumba Murkomen does not see the reason why President William Ruto and the opposition leader Raila Odinga are not working together, especially on matters Finance Bill.

According to the CS Roads, the proposed House Levy in the Finance Bill was initially Raila’s idea and that since President Ruto now owns it, both the government and the opposition should be consulting each other on the matter.

Murkomen argues that UDA’s manifesto as well as ODM’s manifesto are all the same.

He has urged leaders to find a way of closing ranks together, since it is the only way to succeed as a country. “There is no way as a country we can succeed to build our nation when we are fighting each other,” CS Kipchumba said.

The CS says that the two rival leaders should put their wrangles aside and talk together.

This he said on June 12, 2023 during the inaugural flight of Renegade Airline at Kabunde Airstrip in Homa Bay County.

Raila Odinga has been opposing the Finance Bill saying it will oppress Kenyans. He states it as an economic sabotage.
