The Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Monday July 24, 2023 during the UN Food Summit in Italy urged for changes in the current financial structure which currently leaves Africa in a disadvantaged position.

While speaking to the audience in a video that surfaced online via The Star Official Twitter Account, the Deputy President is heard speaking on school feeding program in Kenya being a success.

He further went on to state that school enrolment has doubled in Kenya because of intervening in school feeding programs.

“We have embraced financial inclusivity by creating a 10Billion fund for the hustlers who are the majority in the hustler nation,” Gachagua said.

“In Kenya we have succeeded in having a very good and effective school feeding program that has doubled school enrolment and when the children have been fed, the parents are able to proceed with their daily hustles,” he added.
