American President Joe Biden has tested positive for Covid 19 according to a White House statement on Wednesday June 17. The president, according to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, was experiencing mild symptoms, including general Malaise from the infection.
Biden, who has been in the public eye for all the alarming reasons, is expected to fly to his Delaware home and self-isolate while still carrying out his duties.

Following recent public events where Biden appeared lost in thought and confused, including the Juneteenth event, and the presidential debate against Trump, many have called for his withdrawal from the White House race in November.
Among those calling for his abdication are US Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who argue that Biden cannot defeat Donald Trump in the November poll.

Top Democrats have also expressed similar concerns, saying that he(Biden) could destroy the Democrats’ chances of winning back control over the House of Representatives.
According to White House Representative Andrew Bates, Biden told both leaders that he is the party's nominee, plans to win, and is looking forward to working with them to pass the 100-day agenda to help working families.
