In a statement on his twitter account on June 18, 2023, Uganda’s president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has come out to confirm his freedom from the Covid enemy .
11 Days ago on June 7, 2023, he was confirmed Covid-19 positive on the day of the State of the Nation Address. He felt a mild pre-flue type of state on Tuesday a day before but ignored the symptoms until the confirmed day when he had a slight running nose, called his doctors to take samples for checking.
“Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazukulu. Sorry about losing our People such as Justice Arach (it is now really arach) Amoko, Jack Muchunguzi (one of the 27 with whom I attacked Kabaamba), Nuwe-agaba who was working in our CBRN Department of State House and others.”
He further went on to pass his condolences to those who lost their lives due to the attack at Kasese, “Condolences to the families and the whole Country. On the war with corona, it is now confirmed that I am a veteran graduate of the war with that enemy.”
