The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) conducted its grassroot elections on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in the over 20000 polling stations countrywide. Various ODM leaders led by example in turning up for the exercise. At Loresho Primary School in Westlands Constituency, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna participated in the exercise where he was vying to be a delegate at the polling station. ODM National Chairperson Gladys Wanga also voted at Alara Korayo Polling Station, Rangwe Branch.

“As you can see around here the businesses have closed because of two people,because of their interests. In Rongo Town now we have two ODM offices so we don’t know which one is which. Which one is the real ODM office,” One voter lamented.

The ODM party released a press statement through the National Elections Coordinating Committee(NECC). It reported that the exercise was successful across the country, apart from a few areas where some individuals were accused of interference. Candidates aggrieved by the electoral outcome were urged to appeal by lodging a complaint through the online portal and paying a fee of kshs 2000 within 24 hours after the declaration of the results.
