Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has expressed his readiness to face the consequences if the Cabinet is dissolved.

"If the jury says that Moses Kuria has to go home, I will be the first to say yes, we go home," Kuria said.

His statement follows senators' calls for President Ruto to dissolve the Cabinet to tackle the country's challenges and end the ongoing demos crippling the order of the day.

The Senators, led by Boni Khalwale, have called on the president to take drastic measures, including dissolving the Cabinet and conducting a thorough reform of the government.

While Speaking on KTN News on June 3, 2024, Kuria maintained that it is time for all those in leadership to deliver on their mandate as expected.

"It is about time we executed. It is not just about talking and big plans. I think whatever has happened now is a good window to open and see," Kuria said.

Moses Kuria has also condemned the past actions of politicians who put their interests first over the public.

As the hot air continues, lawmakers and KANU party members follow suit in the debate for a fresh slate in the Cabinet and government. As the head of state continues to 'soul search,' as he mentioned himself, it is time he acted fast.

KANU members met with the Limuru sub-county area party officials and urged the president to appoint an inclusive, high-integrity cabinet that will focus on the country's challenges.

"An all-inclusive cabinet needs to have youths, middle-aged people and old people. The individuals should not have scandals but be people of high integrity," Former county chairperson David Mbiyu said in the Kanu meeting.

Kiambu County Secretary Karanja Sakina also added that the overhaul would quench tension in the country.

Pressure and unrest in the country continue despite the withdrawal of the contentious Finance Bill of 2024, which fueled national demonstrations.

All eyes are on the head of state as he considers not only Gen Z's demands but also lawmakers, senators, and the general public.

As the wait for the decision continues, the question is, will dissolving the Cabinet be the cure?

Is it just another scapegoat? How much more does the regime need cleaning?
